Dock diving can be an exciting outlet for dogs that enjoy water, toys and fast movement. A successful first experience should focus on confidence and safety rather than forcing a dramatic leap.
Confirm Basic Water Comfort
A dog should be comfortable entering water and finding the exit. Begin in shallow or easily managed conditions when possible. A dog that freezes, scrambles or avoids the edge needs more confidence work.
Choose a Floating Reward
