Dogwalkers Project 21 Foundation
Dogwalker Ranch works closely with and supports Dogwalkers Project 21 Foundation, a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming. The Foundation grew from the group of 21 dogs that came into the ranch’s care and continues to support other dogs who need homes.

After acquiring Dogwalker Ranch, Nick and Ayla attended a FIDO adoption event at Mr. Mocha’s Pet Supplies in Belleview.
Meeting Wendy Hillyard
They told Wendy they wanted Dogwalker Ranch to become involved. The training position was already filled at the time.
Staying connected
They kept in contact with Wendy and continued supporting community efforts rather than treating that first conversation as the end.
Stepping up when FIDO called
When the FIDO Project unexpectedly needed another trainer, Wendy called on short notice. Dogwalker Ranch accepted immediately.
Class 40: The Fantastic Fur
Status checked September 7, 2026. Class 40 includes Nova, Herbie, Reed and Lyja. The September 5 adoption event has passed. Marion County Animal Services controls placement and current availability, so confirm current status with the county before applying. Dogwalker Ranch serves as the training partner.
Community Involvement Beyond FIDO
Splash & Dash
Dogwalker Ranch hosts the annual Splash & Dash event supporting Marion County Animal Services and adoption efforts. Two events have been held so far.
A Real Community Day
The event brings together adoptable dogs, visiting dogs, pool activity, dock diving, lure coursing, vendors and a family/community atmosphere.
